Properties: High retention of cutting edge along with safety in hardening & excellent deep hardening properties.

Applications: Very good steel for plastic moulds. Used in cutting , punching & blanking tools (dies &  Punches) , dished & circular cutters for paper, cold shears , trimming tools for screw & nut manufacture , bending, curling & stamping dies. Threading tools, taps, dies, thread milling cutters, reamers, mint & medallion dies, and gauging & measuring tools ate also manufactured using this grade of steel.
