Properties : 2312 grade plastic mould steel has excellent workability & ideal machining properties for injection moulding & compression moulding dies.

Applications : This steel is used where there is a requirement for surface finishing like polishing, etch-graining or hard chrome plating. The controlled sulphur content gives it easy machinability , therefore  economic  machining properties, but having limitations where spark erosion or wire cutting options are to be used.
