Properties: This variant of Hot Die Steel has good toughness along with resistance to heat checking. It also has excellent wear resistance.
Applications: It is an excellent material for heavy duty die casting dies for light alloys, like aluminium alloys. It is good when severe abrasive action on exposed parts.
